Our approach
CAFIA supports individuals and MSMEs across Sierra Leone by structuring information, guiding decisions and bridging communication with financial institutions. These principles shape every part of the service, from how listings are prepared to how complaints are handled.
Plain-language listings and guidance, with no marketing pressure and no jargon that hides costs or conditions.
You choose what to share, with whom, and for what purpose. Nothing on CAFIA is shared with a provider without your say-so.
Every listing shows where the information came from and when it was last checked, so you can verify it yourself.
Structured, self-declared steps that identify the records and documents providers typically expect, without requesting sensitive external data.
Aggregated, anonymised patterns help improve the system. Individual stories are never exposed in public dashboards.
Complaints and unusual situations are handled by trained reviewers, not by automation alone.
A detailed methodology, including verification workflow, data-sharing principles, review cycles and the review board, will be published here as the service matures.
